Barber remarks that "there are, of course, those who benefit from the bankruptcy of public education and the failure of democracy." Who might these people be? Do you agree with Barber that they are no more to blame than those of us who are merely complacent? Why or why not?

People who are opposed to other people being educated.

Hitler did this with the Jews to have more reasons for Aryans to hate them.

If you make your opponents seem less intelligent they will have fewer prospects and will be believed and supported by a different set of people who may be less intelligent in societal views
