Amy is painting one wall in her dining room. The wall is 10 feet by 13 feet. A gallon of paint covers 60 square feet. The hardware store only sells paint by the gallon, meaning that partial gallons cannot be purchased. Given this, how many gallons of paint will Amy need to purchase

Answer:

3

Explanation:

Since the wall is two different lengths, it assumes the wall is a rectangle

Angle of a rectangle is L x W

Which means 10x13 = 130

Since every gallon covers 60 square feet, we need to divide that 130 by 60

(130)/(60) = 2.2

Since they dont sell partial gallons, she would have to buy 3 gallons of paint
