It is currently 49 degrees outside. If the temperature drops 6.3 degrees per hour, for 3 hours, what will the temperature be in 3 hours?

After 3 hours, it would be 30.1 degrees outside.

Take 49 and subtract 6.3 from it 3 times.
49-6.3=42.7
42.7-6.3=36.4
36.4-6.3=30.1

Answer: I believe the answer would be 30.1 degrees

Explanation:

Since the temperature is dropping by 6.3 degrees per hour for 3 hours, this means that all we have to do is multiply 6.3 by 3 ( 6.3*3 ), which equals 18.9 so then all we do is subtract 18.9 from 49 ( 49-18.9 ) to get our answer, 30.1 degrees.

Hope this helps!
