Explanation:

cost of plain wrapping paper = x

cost of shiny wrapping paper = y

so the equation will be:-

5x + 3y = 57

11x + 3y = 93

by subtracting 3y from the equation we get :-

6x = 36

x = 6

5(6) + 3y = 57

30 +3y = 57

3y = 27

y = 9

hence, the cost of plain wrapping paper is $6 and cost of shiny wrapping paper is $9
