Ladies and Gentlemen of the City of San Francisco,
I stand before you today as a man deeply concerned about the future of this great nation, and about the welfare of all its citizens, regardless of race or ethnicity. I am here to address the issue of separating Asian students from white students in our schools.
I firmly believe that this policy is not only unjust, but it also runs counter to the principles of equality and opportunity that are at the very heart of our democratic system. It sends a message to these children that they are less deserving of education and respect, and it undermines their potential to contribute fully to our society.
I urge you to reconsider this policy, and to embrace a vision of America that is inclusive and just. Our schools should be places where children from all backgrounds can come together to learn and grow, and where they can build the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life.
It is also important to recognize that the success of our nation depends on the success of all our citizens, regardless of race or ethnicity. By excluding Asian students from the educational opportunities that are available to their white peers, we are not only doing them a grave injustice, but we are also shortchanging our own future.
I implore you to take a bold and courageous step, and to reverse this policy of separation. Let us show the world that San Francisco is a city that truly values equality, opportunity, and justice for all.
