Answer: 6x - 2 = 3

Solution

Let x represent the unknown number

The number is multiplied by 6

= (6 × x )

= 6x

two is subtracted from the product

= 6x - 2

The product is equated to 3

= 6x-2= 3

Hence the equation is 6x-2= 3
