Parents aren't always responsible for childhood trauma. Trauma at such a young age could simply be just from a spider landing on your head all the way up to getting lost an amusement park. Of course, parents are very often abusive or neglectful which leads to one of the many forms of trauma, but the most important thing is how the parents handle it. Not acknowledging your own kid for something serious that happens to them is what leas the scar that is trauma. But good parents take small steps whether it be just listening or finding help for your child to live a happier and mentally healthy life.
