1) Subtract 3/4 from both sides:

`((3)/(4)+x)-(3)/(4) < (1)/(6)-(3)/(4)`

2) Simplify:

`x < (1)/(6)-(3)/(4)`

Find a common denominator for both fractions (I will use 12)

`x < (2)/(12) -(9)/(12)`

Simplify:

`x < (-7)/(12)`

We cannot simplify the expression anymore, therefore this is the answer!
