Answer: 1.75

Explanation:

Add the number of cars (3+4+1) which would give you 8.

Then multiply the number of students in one car by the the number of cars in each row (1x3, 2x4, 3x1) which would give you 3, 8 and 3.

Then you add all 3 numbers together to give you 14.

You then do 14/8 which would give you 1.75
