Answer is y = 3x -1
Step by step
The formula for point slope is
y - y1 = m ( x -x 1)
Fill in your x and y value and slope (m)
y - 5 = 3 (x - 2)
Distribute
y - 5 = 3x - 6
Add 5 to both sides to isolate y
y -5 +5 = 3x -6 +5
Simplify
y = 3x -1
That’s your answer in point slope form!
