Answer:

Explanation:

(3, 4), (2,7)

(x_(1) ,y_(1) ),(x_(2) ,y_(2))

slope = m =
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) ) =
(7-4)/(2-3) =
(3)/(-1) = -3

She makes an error with the formula for finding the slope.

Answer:

the formula to finding the slope is :

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

you can reverse it so that its y1 - y2/x1 -x2 but top and bottom must always be in the same order

the classmate's answer should have been 4-7/3-2 which would equal -3/1 = -3
