Explanation:

To find the inverse of a function you have to exchange the variables, the "x" become "y" and vice versa.

After doing that you must leave the y-value on the left side of the equation.


y = x^2 - 6\\\\x=y^2-6\\\\x+6=y^2\\\\y^2=x+6\\\\√(y^2)=√(x+6) \\\\y=√(x+6) \\\\f^(-1)(x)=√(x+6)
