What is the slope of a line perpendicular to the line whose equation is
2x - 4y = -24.

Answer: -2

Explanation:

1. get y on one side and the rest on the other

2. -4y=-2x-24

3. Divide by -4 to get positive y

4. y=1/2x+6

5. All you need is that slope now and just reverse the numbers and opposite reciprocals

6. You'll get -2/1 or just -2
