When we factor something we try to pull out as much as possible. When looking at the 2 parts, we see that we can pull out a 2 as the largest coefficient. We also see that both parts have a p, so we pull out 1 p. We see that both sides have q^3, so we will pull that out. Only 1 side has r, so we cannot pull that out.
