A couple pays £1200 for a holiday in Portugal. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic the holiday

company cancels the holiday and gives the customers this option:
Rebook another holiday and get a 20% incentive*
We have a range of alternative holidays available for you to choose from and would love to take
you are away on holiday. Plus, if the holiday you book is more expensive than your original holiday,
you’ll automatically receive an incentive worth up to 20% of the value of the holiday

b. Using online discount code SUMMER gives a further £100 off the cost of the holiday, so
what is the final total holiday price?

The couple has been offered a 20% incentive on the cost of the holiday if they choose to rebook. Since the holiday is worth £1200, this means they would receive an incentive of 20% * £1200 = £240.

The couple also has the option to use a discount code, SUMMER, which gives them an additional £100 off the cost of the holiday.

So, the final total price of the holiday would be £1200 - £240 - £100 = £760

It's important to note that the couple will only receive the 20% incentive if the holiday they rebook is more expensive than the original holiday, if not the incentive will not be applied.
