Answer: Thomas Hobbes was known for his point of view on government being that a government headed by a king was the best. He believed that when all power was in the hands of a king, there would be “more resolute and consistent exercise of political authority”. John Locke's point of view was that government should be a “neutral judge”. This means that he believed that government shouldn't intervene in the life of an individual. He also believed that the government should be ruled by the people. So, both political thinkers had different ways of thinking, Thomas Hobbes believed that people need to have somebody on top holding the reins while John Locke believed that the people should live their lives and government only really just upholds the laws.
