cs2 + o2 = co2(g) + so2(g)

1 1 1 1 (moles)

as we can see from the reaction and stoichiometric coefficient of cs2 and o2 is 1 so both will completely react and no one is limiting reactant .

limiting reagent- reactant which remains unreacted after the completion of reaction.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In the reaction of 1 mol CS2 and 1 mol O2, carbon disulfide (CS2) is the limiting reactant.

This is because when 1.00 mol CS2 reacts with 1.00 mol O2

, it requires 3 moles of oxygen to completely react with the carbon disulfide(CS2).

Therefore, since there is only 1 mole of oxygen present in the reaction, it cannot completely react with the carbon disulfide and thus becomes the limiting reactant.
