Explain how natural selection is related to individuals and populations.

Answer: Natural selection applies to both individuals and populations because natural selection is the process of something adapting. An Individual adapts to extreme heat, heavy rain, etc. This individual then has offspring which the adaptation passes off to and to his offspring and so forth. Another way it affects population is by the area in which the population lives. If the individual and other individuals live in the same area, the other individuals are likely to adapt to the environment as well.
