The label on a car's antifreeze container claims to protect the car at temperatures greater than −40°C and less than 140°C. To convert Celsius temperature to Fahrenheit temperature, the formula is C equals five ninths times the quantity F minus thirty two.. Answer:

-40F to 284F

Explanation:

C = 5/9F -32

so F = 32+9/5*C

so the range is

F= 32+9/5*(-40) = 32-72 = -40F

F= 32+9/5*(140) = 32+252 = 284F
