Two numbers have a sum of 18. The first number is 2 more than 3 times the second number. Find the two numbers.

Answer: Let one of the number be X and the other no will be x +18, this is as per given sum.

By sum,

or, 2 x = 128 - 18 = 110

Therefore x = 55 & the other no will be 55 + 18 = 73

Hence, 55 & 73 are the two numbers.
