Fake news can cause cause countless problems :) Such as a butterfly effect, mass panicking, and voting under false impression.

I believe it would have a bad effect on the people since it would probably cause fights to break out between some. if fake news came, there might be limited news in the future considering that there has been a spread of fake news and in order to get things in check and they would keep a close eye and don't let just anybody spread around news.
