The length of a rectangle is 5 cm more than its breadth. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 58 cm, find its dimensions.

Explanation:

58 = 2(l+b)

58 = 2(x+x)+5

58 = 2x + 5

2x = 58-5

2x = 53

x = 53/2

x = 26.5

So, length = 26.5 + 5 = 31.5

Hence, the length and breadth are 31.5 and 26.5 respectively.
