Answer:

h = 18 in.

Explanation:

Both safes are in the shape of a rectangular prism

The volume of a rectangular prism = L X w X H

where L = length, W = width and H = height

Safe A has volume 18 x 15 x 24

Safe B has volume 20 x 18 x h

Both volumes are equal and we have to find h

Equating both expressions

20 x 18 x h = 18 x 15 x 24

Dividing by 18 on both sides will get rid of the 18 in the product

(20 x 18 x h)/18 = (18 x 15 x 24)/18

20h = 15 x 24

20h = 360

h = 360/20

h = 18 in.
