Explanation:

The tent consists of a cylinder at the bottom and the roof of the tent is a cone

The height of the cone = 2h - h = h which is the same as the height of the cylindrical part

Volume of a cylinder = πr²h where r = radius, h- height

We are given this volume = 300 m³

The volume of a cone is (1/3)πr²h

If the heights and radius are the same, the volume of the cone is 1/3 the volume of the cylinder

Volume of conical part of tent = 1/3 x volume of cylindrical part

= 1/3 x 300 = 100 m³

Total volume of the tent and therefore the volume of air

= 300 + 100 = 400 m³
