-\cfrac{1}{2}x+\cfrac{1}{8}y=\cfrac{3}{4}\implies -\cfrac{x}{2}+\cfrac{y}{8}=\cfrac{3}{4}\implies \stackrel{\textit{multiplying both sides by }\stackrel{LCD}{8}}{8\left( -\cfrac{x}{2}+\cfrac{y}{8}\right)=8\left( \cfrac{3}{4} \right)} \\\\\\ -4x+y=6\implies y=4x+6
