Prophase: The cell prepares for division,
DNA condenses into chromosomes
Metapahse: chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell
Anaphase: the chromosome copies pull apart and away to the far sides of the cell
Telophase: the cell forms new membranes for each of the 2 nuclei and tears in 2 during cytokinesis
