Community service is a voluntary, unpaid act of kindness that a person performs to help and assist others in need. It is important that individuals provide community service. It's not just about helping the community, it's also about making a difference in someone's life. Furthermore, it can help a person grow and bond mentally, physically, and emotionally. Mentally, a person who does community service is able to change their view of the world and appreciate the things they have. Physically, it can help a person be more motivated and explore what's going on in their community. On an emotional level, it can help a person feel kindness, so it can also help a person interact with others, build relationships, and improve communication. Participating in community service can help a person become more active and involved in their community, it can also improve your job skills and help you gain experience to network with future employers and businesses. Community Service Helps One This hospital focuses on helping children, especially children with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses. “The mission is to advance treatments and preventative treatments for catastrophic pediatric diseases through research and treatment. In keeping with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child will be denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay” (St. Jude Children\'s Research Hospital, 2017). These children are constantly connected to an IV in the hospital, unlike other children who do not have life-threatening diseases. These children cannot enjoy their childhood like other children. That's why we decided to do a toy ride so that with whatever little joy they get from receiving these toys, they can help forget where they are and the pain they are going.
