subtract the estimate and the cost

93,000-75,000

=18000

divide the cost and the subtracted sum you just got

cross out the common factor

Multiply a number to both the numerator and denominator (easier if you multiply the number that makes the denominator 100)


(6)/(25) x(4)/(4)

=
(24)/(100)

write the fraction as a percentage

=24%
