People can lose innovation and motivation in a command economy due to a lack of incentives. Without the potential for financial gain, people may not be motivated to put in the extra effort to come up with new ideas or to improve existing ones. Furthermore, the lack of competition and the lack of personal ownership of ideas can lead to a decrease in creativity and innovation. Additionally, the centralized decision-making process in a command economy can lead to a lack of autonomy and a feeling of being unable to make a difference, further reducing motivation and creativity.
