Explanation:

10x + 7y = 263 (1)

4x + 8y = 230 (2)

Multiply (1) by 4 and (2) by 10:

40x + 28y = 1052 (3)

40x + 80y = 2300 (4)

Do (4) - (3):

52y = 1248

y = 24

x = 9.5
