Japan had participated in World War 1 from 1914 to 1918 (4 years). They had an alliance with Entente Powers. Entente Powers means (it was a coalition of countries led by France, the United Kingdom,Russia,Italy,Japan,and the United States of America). As i continue Japan played an important role in securing the sea lanes in the West Paclofic and Indian Oceans against the Imperial German Navy as a member of the Allies.
