2/5 , what is the slope of the red line?

for perpendicularity;


m1 = ( - 1)/(m2)

where m1 is first slope

and m2 is second slope

so here, let m1 be green line slope

and m2 be red line slope

thus,


m2 = ( - 1)/(m1)


m2 = ( - 1)/( (2)/(5) ) = - 1 / (2)/(5)


= - 1 * (5)/(2) = ( - 5)/(2)
