In my opinion, I think zoos are only really are good for people, in the way that we can see a variety of different animals that we wouldn't normally see.
If you think about it, we see all this animals that are not in their natural habitat being confined into this small places everyday and never really having the liberty of being out in the open where they naturally need to be.
What benefits do these animals have? Yes, some may benefit from being endangered and having them there can help fight the endangerment, but what about all the other animals?
Most of these animals born and die in these zoos and the tiny space that is reserved for them is all that they ever knew.
It's not like these animals born at the zoos can just be thrown out into the wild either because they will not have the survival instincts needed to survive since they were born in captivity.
All zoos are doing by having these animals in cages is for the entertainment of humans, but it is cruel towards these wild animals that are being held captive in these small artificial environments.
If people would like to learn more about these animals outside the book, they can travel to where these animals naturally live and examine them while also taking in their natural environment. This would be a much natural and friendly way to see the animals one would normally see at the zoo.
