How do i solve 2(-3x+4)=5x+2?

2(-3x+4)=5x+2

1. distribute..

2*-3x=-6x

2*4=8

-6x+8=5x+2

2. subtract from both sides...

8-8=0

8-2=-6

-6x=5x-8

5x-5x=0

3. simplify...

-6x-5x-6x-5x-6x-5x=-11x

4. divide from both sides...

-11x=-6

-11x-11=0

-6/-11...

5. your result/answer

x=6/11
