Let's split this diagram:

--> look at the diagram attached

--> the red line forms a right angle with the side with length 10

Based on how we split the diagram

--> we get a triangle on top

--> the base is 10

--> the height is difference between 10 and 6 --> 4

Using the Pythagorean theorem:


x^2=10^2+4^2\\x^2=100+16\\x^2=116\\x=√(116)\\x=√(4*29)\\x=2√(29)
