My name is Toussaint L'Ouverture and I was born on May 20th, 1743. I am Haitian and I am from the town of Cap-Haitien, Haiti. I lived during the French Revolution. I studied the Enlightenment philosophers. I led a triumphant slave revolt and turned Haiti into a country along with gaining it its independence, and other various contributions.
