The owner of a sporting goods store randomly surveys 150 customers, of whom 95 are first-time customers. During the next week, the store has 900 customers. Based on the data from the survey, how many of the customers can the store owner expect to be first-time customers?

Answer: 570

Step-by-step explanation: In survey the total customers were 150 so our sample size is 150.

Total number of First time customer = 95

Probability of being a first time customer = 95/150 = 0.63

So on first day using same probability the first time customers will be 900 × 0.63 = 570
