-8x+2 > 0

Subtract 2 from both sides:

-8x+2-2 > 0-2

-8x > -2

Divide both sides by -8:

(-8x)/(-8) > (-2)/(-8)

(Since we are dividing by a negative number, the sign will reverse)

x < (1)/(4) \texttt{ or }x < 0.25
