divide (1) to (2),
-5x = -10
x = 2

Then, to find the y you can substitute the x = 2 to (1),
5(2) - 2y = 4
10 - 2y = 4
- 2y = 4 - 10
- 2y = - 6
y = 3

So, the x = 2 and y = 3
