The box doesn't move when two people push it from different directions because the forces acting on the box are in opposite directions and are equal in magnitude. Newton's first law of motion states that an object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion will remain in motion with a constant velocity, unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. In this case, the two opposing forces acting on the box balance each other out and create an unbalanced force of zero, resulting in no net force acting on the box, and the box remains at rest.

Answer:

Newton's 3rd law of motion

Explanation:

Newton's 3rd law of motion states that for every force in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction.

So, assuming the people are both pushing with the same force, their forces are basically canceling each other out, and a net force of 0 is acting uponm the box, which explains why it is not moving.
