TSA = 2πrh + πr² (r = 40/2 = 20)

4715 = 40πh + 400π

4715/(40π) = h + 10

≈ 37.5 = h + 10

h = 27.5 cm

Hope this helped.

Answer:-

h = 17.52cm

Explanation:

To find the height, we'll use the formula for a surface area of a cylinder.

\boxed{\sf SA=2\pi rh+2\pi r^2}

Since the diameter is 40 cm, than the radius is :-

  • \sf r=\cfrac{d}{2}

  • \sf r=\cfrac{40\;cm}{2}

  • \sf r=20cm

Now, let's substitute the values to the SA formula:-

\sf 4715\;cm^2=2\pi (20cm)h+2\pi (20cm)^2

\sf 4715cm^2=40\pi cmh+800cm^2\pi

\sf \cfrac{4715cm^2-800cm^2\pi }{40\pi cm} =\cfrac{40\pi cm(h)}{40\pi cm}

\sf h=\cfrac{2,201.725877cm^2}{40\pi cm}

\sf h=17.52\; cm
