I think jealousy manifests in response to insecurity and feeling threatened. I think when we feel jealous, it’s like we are the ones in danger of being harmed because of what we don’t have that we feel we should or because of what we’re afraid to lose.

When you feel like the victim, you do not take responsibility for what happens. However, even if you are experiencing something, you are responsible for how you respond to it.

Just because you feel badly doesn’t mean somebody else did something wrong, and acting upon jealous feelings can cause a lot of harm.

Jealousy in and of itself isn’t harmful. It’s something we feel that is designed to protect us. How we choose to respond to our jealous feelings is what really matters.
