having trouble understanding; A store hands out 600 reward cards. Customers scan their cards in the store to find out what reward they receive. The probability that a customer receives a $25 gift card is 1/15. How many customers receive a $25 gift card?

So the ratio is 1/15 (one being a card with $25 and 15 being the total amount of gift cards) and so we need the total amount of gift cards to be 600. To do this multiply 15 by 40 and whatever you do to the denominator, you do to the numerator,
15•40=600
________
1•40= 40
The answer would be “40 gift cards out of 600 would have the reward of $25”
