To find the y-intercept we add 2 to the value of y = - 3 when x = 1, it will represent y = - 1 at x = 0.

The slope-intercept form is:

  • y = mx + b, where m is the slope, which is - 2 and b is the y-intercept, which is - 1.

After plugging in the values of m and b the line becomes :

  • y = - 2x - 1
