Answer:

Explanation:

So, to compare fractions, we need them to have the same denominators because for example, 4/1 = 4 and 4/2 = 2 is totally different.

(in that case, we could have looked at the denominators, and the fraction with the smallest denominator would be the greater one since the numerators are the same, but it was just an example)

To do that, we look at them : we see -3/5 and -2/3

3 is not a multiple of 5, neither 5 is a multiple of 3, so we use 3*5 =15

(if it was 3 and 6, we could have used 6/2 = 3 or 3*2 = 6)

Next move, we put the fractions on 15 :
(-2)/(3) =(-2*5)/(3*5) =(-10)/(15) and
(-3)/(5) =(-3*3)/(5*3) =(-9)/(15)

Now, we look at the numerators : -10 < -9

(don't forget they're negative numbers )

And to conclude :

(-10)/(15) < (-9)/(15\\)\\(-2)/(3) < (-3)/(5) hope it helps :)

Greater since -3/5 = - 0.6 while -2/3= 0.67..67 thus -3/5>-2/3
