a) Let us start by constructing the table with 4 classes

Let us now solve for the class boundaries

The following steps will be taken in order to get the class boundaries

1 ) Subtract the upper-class limit for the first class from the lower class limit for the second class.

The upper-class limit for the first class is 89 and the lower class limit for the second class is 90.

Thus, we get: 90 – 89 = 1.

2) Divide the result by two.

Next, we divide the result by 2. So, we get 1/2 = 0.5.

3) Subtract the result from the lower class limit and add the result to the upper-class limit for each class.

Lastly, we subtract 0.5 from the lower class limit and add 0.5 to the upper-class limit for each class:

b)
