Courthouses closed, proceedings were stopped, and judicial life came to a standstill during the Covid-19 pandemic. Many people including the judges waited to get information from the CDC.
Later on, as the pandemic continued the court system started adopting some form of remote proceedings in order to continue operations using various technology platforms such as email, video conferencing, and more.
Therefore, the judges were able to hear proceedings from their homes with the help of their computers, phones, other gadgets, meeting applications, etc.
These posed some challenges, but the benefits were greater.
