Answer:

Viruses and pathogenic protozoa are similar in a few ways.

1- Both are microscopic organisms, meaning they are too small to be seen with the eye.

2- Both can cause disease in humans and other animals.

3- Both can spread from person to person or from animal to person.

4- Both can be treated with medication, although protozoa are generally more susceptible to treatment than viruses.

Bacteria and Viruses are quite different from each other. Bacteria live in nature whereas Viruses can thrive both in living and nonliving habitats. Bacteria can survive without a host but Viruses will die without a host. Bacteria reproduce through binary fission and Viruses reproduce through lytic fission. Protozoa (pronounced: pro-toe-ZO-uh) are one-celled organisms, like bacteria. But they are bigger than bacteria and contain a nucleus and other cell structures, making them more similar to plant and animal cells.
