ANSWER: a) x + 2y = -2

First lets look at the line and find the equation in slope intercept form

It intercepts at the Y-axis at (0, -1)
You can take two points and use slope point form to find the slope.
The slope is -1/2 so the equation is y = -1/2x - 1

Now all thats left to do is to put it into standard form. Or do it the other way around and put standard form into slope intercept form.

You should get a) x + 2y = -2
