The formula for the surface area of a cylinder is
2\pi rh+2\pi r^(2). Using this, you can calculate that the cylinder's total surface area is 56
\pi. But, since Adrian only needs to find the surface area outside of the tire, I'm going to assume that you only need to apply
2\pi rh to your problem. Therefore, the answer is 24
\pi or 75.4 (rounded to the nearest tenth). I hope this helps!
